Neurofeedback in the treatment of mental and neurological disorders

When combined with psychotherapeutic elements, neurofeedback can be highly effective in treating mental illnesses, e.g. depressive and anxiety disorders. Certain neurological symptoms also respond well to neurofeedback therapy. A positive side effect of this treatment is that it promotes inner learning and personal development, improves self-awareness and increases one’s expectation of self-efficacy.
